Classroom Expectations

It is important for all of us; parents, children, and teachers to work together for the success of the child.

Our goal is for your child to be successful!

This page includes information about class expectations. If you have any questions, please contact me. 

Communication:
​
Communication and collaboration is key for successful learning.
​
Please feel free to contact me by phone or email.
​
I will check my email regularly between 730pm-400pm, if messages are sent after 400pm I will receive them in the morning. This is to ensure I can focus of preparing for the next day and making meaningful lessons for your children.
​
I will respond to emails within 48 hours. If it is an emergency please call the school to contact me.

Food and Drinks:

  • Healthy food is good for the brain and has positive effects on learning

  • I encourage healthy food and snacks for lunch time. 

  • Water bottles are welcome in class. We will be doing lots of learning and this will minimize classroom disruptions. 

  • BIRTHDAYS: YES, we want to celebrate your child's special day. Birthday cupcakes or treats are welcome. 

Agenda Books:

These books will come to school and go home.

Please sign your child's agenda book.

 

When there are important announcements or notes to go home, they will be in the agenda.

 

Please send back any forms the next school day!

Home Work Policy:
Occasional homework will be sent home that focus on reinforcing what is being learned in class, as well as practicing skills for future success. 

Some strategies for having your child successfully complete homework include: 
  1. Checking his or her agenda daily for homework/study updates
  2. Having a designated quiet space for studying/homework
  3.  Having a set time for homework in the evening and keeping this routine

Holidays & Absences:

 If your child will be missing school please inform both the schools office and myself.

 

***It is important for your child to be at school everyday; 

we do a lot of learning in a day.***

How to HELP your child be successful?!

1.   Read EVERYDAY! 

2.   Help students be on time!

3.   Make sure your child is getting lots of rest!

4.   Send your child with healthy snacks and lunches!

5.   Ask them about their day! Get INVOLVED!

6.   Teach your child how to be responsible and share!
